Content & Overview:
The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management
provides a strong foundation in essential leadership and management skills,
including problem solving, decision making, effective communication, and team
motivation. This short, focused qualification helps learners build confidence in
managing people and processes while improving personal effectiveness in a
leadership role.

8600-341 Leading & Motivating a Team
Effectively
8600-300 Problem Solving
Suitable for:
This course is designed for
aspiring or newly appointed managers and team leaders. While not compulsory, we
recommend GCSE grade C/4 in English (and sometimes maths) to support assignment
work
Entry requirements:
You should be in a role
with some leadership or supervisory responsibility or be an aspiring
manager.
Delivery Method:
Blended – Classroom with 2
assignments
Progression route:
• ILM Level 3 Certificate or
Diploma in Leadership and Management – deeper skills and broader unit
choices
• ILM Level 4 or 5 Qualifications – ideal for more experienced
managers or those taking on greater responsibility
• Team Leader/Supervisor
Apprenticeship (Level 3) – if not already completed
•
Operational/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship (Level 5) – for middle
management roles
