Course Description
Content & Overview These
2-hour workshops are designed to help you build confidence, develop basic skills
and get a feel for what studying English with Adult Education and Community
Learning is like.
You’ll take part in friendly, interactive activities that
reflect everyday situations, and our experienced tutors will support you
throughout. The sessions will also help us understand your current level and
guide you towards the right next steps.
Whether you’rereturning to learning or looking to improve
your English, these workshops offer a supportive and
welcoming starting point.
Course Details
These English engagement workshops offer you
the opportunity to experience learning with Adult Education and Community
Learning in a supportive, friendly and interactive environment. Each two-hour
workshop focuses on a key English skill area and provides a practical
introduction to learning, helping learners build confidence while tutors gain
insight into individual starting points.
The workshops are designed to
be inclusive, enjoyable and informative, supporting you to identify your next
steps into further English learning.
Suitable for Learners who do not already have a
GCSE grade 4 (or A*-C grade).
Entry requirements Before starting a course,
you will be asked questions to determine your eligibility.
You must be
aged 19+ on 31 August 2025 and be a UK resident to join this course and be
eligible for funding.
Delivery Method Face to face
Progression route Learners who complete these
workshops may progress onto further tailored learning English courses or
Functional Skills English courses.
