Course Description
Content & Overview Ready to take
your next step towards employment, education or training? Get Set for Work is a
supportive and practical programme designed for young people aged 16 - 24
who are currently not in emloyment, education or training (NEET). Working in
Partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), this course will
help you build confidence, recognise your strengths and develop the skills
employers are looking for. You'll create a professional CV, learn effective job
searching and interview techniques, explore career options, and discover how to
use digital and AI tools to boost your employment opportunities. Along the way,
you'll develop resilience, communication skills and strategies to overcome
barriers, helping you feel more positive, motivated and prepared for your

Day 1 - Confidence, wellbeing and communication
Day 2 - Employability, Skills, Job Searching and
Applications
Day 3 - Barriers, interview and progression
You must attend all 3 days.
Suitable
for Young people aged 16 - 24 and not in employment, education or
training (NEET).

DISCLAIMER: You must be 16+ on 31
August 2026. You must also be resident in the Greater Lincolnshire County
Council Area (GLCCA) on the first day of learning.
When applying for this course, you must provide
evidence to confirm eligibility for funding, this includes proof of ID and proof
of address. In addition, we will also require evidence if your income and or
benefits, is £26,800 gross or below.
If you have not attached the evidence to your application,
please provide using one of the following methods:
- In person - please bring to the Business Admin office (F09) at Ashby
Community Hub
- Email - the evidence to nlacl.enquiries@northlincs.gov.uk
