Supporting Teaching And Learning - Distance Learning
Course Content &
Overview
The course provides you with an understanding of
the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with
children.
During the course you will be expected to produce a portfolio
of evidence showing knowledge and competence in a range of subjects
including:
- • children and young people’s development
- • supporting positive behaviour
- • health and safety
- • safeguarding
- • professional relationships
You will also need to:
- • be observed in your workplace
- • produce a display
- • complete a weekly learner journal
Suitable
for
This course is aimed at people working, or
volunteering, in roles that support pupils’ learning in primary, secondary or
special schools as well as colleges and need a qualification to progress within
their career.
Entry Requirements
You must hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate and be working,
or volunteering in, an educational setting supporting children aged between 5
and 19, for the duration of the course. You should have a good standard of
English, ideally Level 1 or above.
Upon application, you will be contacted by the
tutor to discuss the course & methods of learning.
Course fees
Course may be FREE of charge, depending on your personal
circumstances. To be eligible, evidence of benefit status or low wage (if
applicable) is required in accordance with ESFA Funding Rules. If you fail to
complete the course, you may have to pay the full
cost.
