NCFE Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in
Schools
Course Overview
This qualification prepares
learners for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of
the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such
as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and child and young
person development.
You will complete three units consisting of:
• Understand schools
as organisations • Understand how to keep children and young people
healthy, safe and well • Understand how to communicate with children,
young people and adults
Delivery Method
This may be either Face to
Face or Blended Learning.
Face to Face learning is regularly weekly sessions in a classroom.
Blended learning is a mixture of face to face sessions and online learning.
A range of teaching and learning strategies will be employed.
Homework
You will be expected to work on
activities at home between 5 – 5.5 hours per week, as directed by your
tutor.
Assessment
The course is continuously assessed
using a variety of assessments – written assignments, professional discussions
and question and answer sessions.
