Who is this course
for? This course is aimed at a
wide range of people who would like to raise their own confidence generally, as
well as gain confidence to help apply for jobs and attend interviews or to
have more confidence in the workplace.
Course Overview
As well as improving your overall confidence, this course also covers:
• Believing you can do it (in work) and when going for
jobs/interview/CV • Recognising your strengths so you can confidently
share in a workplace/job interview/CV • Improving yourself whilst still
being confident where you are. (Not beating yourself up.) • Challenging
your thinking and beliefs to help you to feel more
confident. • Communicating with others confidently (Feeling like you are
as good as others, which can then help with confidence in the workplace.)
• Dealing with change/new things confidently (eg new
job/training) • Tips for feeling confident in a job
interview/presentation/important work event
Why study with us? We provide a welcoming learning
environment with excellent learning resources and facilities. Tutors are
experienced, well qualified and offer industry experience in their subjects.
Learning may also be accessible from home via the Google Education Suite (Google
Classroom).
Attendance and Learning Assessment You will need
to attend your class session on time and stay for the whole session. You will
also need the time and commitment required to complete any set homework tasks
and maintain attendance of at least 90%. The expected time to complete this
course is 4 weekly sessions, usually from 10.00am -12.00pm.
There will be no formal assessment. You will be expected to complete some
worksheets/quizzes to show us what you have learnt and also to reflect on your
learning and what you have achieved/learnt during the course..
Entry requirements There are no specific entry
requirements for this course.
Course Delivery This is a face-to-face
classroom-based course with live lessons and set teaching times.
It’s great if you can join in with class discussions and activities. It does
make it more interesting and interactive. (We will take into account,
however, if you don’t feel like doing this much at first, so don’t worry.)
You will be expected to complete an Individual Learning Plan to reflect on
your learning and progress.

Progression Learners who successfully complete the
Confidence for Work course may wish to progress onto other areas of study, such
as Employability. Also we have a dedicated Careers and Employability Coordinator
who can support you to plan your next steps. Additional
information Places on this course are limited. We do need
a minimum of 10 to run it, so courses may need to be postponed on some occasions
to a later date if we don’t have 10 people. Further courses will be scheduled
throughout the academic year and we will operate waiting lists until a new
course becomes available.
Costs Most of our courses are currently offered
FREE OF CHARGE.
