Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Adverse Childhood Experience

Content and overview
This qualification will provide you with an opportunity to develop an understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) relevant to your current or future roles and will equip you with basic understanding of techniques for preventing and addressing ACEs in practice. .

You will need to complete the following 3 mandatory units:
 
Unit 1:
Exploring childhood and family structures
 
Unit 2:
Introduction to adverse childhood experiences.
 
Unit 3: 
Understand Strategies to improve outcomes for children affected by adverse childhood experiences. 

Delivery Method
The course is completed via blended learning (both face to face sessions and also using resources in Google Classroom).
You will be required to complete three online assignments (one assignment per unit) and an individual learning plan (ILP).

Suitable for:
This qualification is designed for anyone wishing to progress to a wide range of further learning and job roles such as nursery staff, teachers, health/social workers across health and social care, children and young people, nursing, public services and education and training.

Entry requirements
For a funded/part funded course, you must be aged 19+ on 31 August 2023 and UK resident for at least 3 years.
You must complete an online induction, which includes online safety, before you begin a course with us.

Progression route
After achieving this qualification, you could progress to:

• Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning

• Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)

• Level 4 Certificate in Neuroscience in Early Years..
