Developing Your Positive Mindset
Are you ready to
shift your thinking and unlock your full potential? This 5-week course will help
you understand how your mindset affects your confidence, motivation, and ability
to grow. You’ll explore the difference between fixed and growth mindsets,
reflect on your own thinking habits, and discover practical tools to create a
more positive, resilient outlook. This course is ideal for anyone struggling
with their wellbeing, self-belief, and outlook to life.
This course will support you to strengthen your employability
and transferable skills such as communication, problem-solving, and
self-management to help you feel more prepared for your next steps in learning
or work.
Content and Overview:
• Develop an
understanding of the difference between fixed and growth mindsets and how they
influence personal attitudes, learning, and resilience.
• Identify
personal thinking patterns and limiting beliefs that may impact confidence,
motivation, and wellbeing.
• Learn and practise strategies to build a
more positive, growth-oriented mindset for handling challenges, setting goals,
and maintaining self-belief.
• Create a personal action plan to apply
positive mindset skills in future learning, work, and life situations.

Week 2: Recognising Limiting Beliefs
Week 3: Building Resilience and Self-Belief
Week 4: Embedding a Positive Mindset
Week 5: Applying Mindset to the Future
Suitable for:
For anyone who may be struggling
with positive thinking and having a positive attitude towards personal life,
social situations, self-esteem and change.
Delivery Method:
This course will be delivered
face to face at Ashby Community Hub over 5 sessions. Please bring a pen to all
classes.
Entry requirements:
Before starting a course, you
will be asked questions to determine your eligibility.
You must be aged 19+
on 31 August 2025 and be a UK resident to join this course & be eligible for
funding.
Progression route:
You can progress onto one
further personal development course. You may also wish to take next steps

During your course, you will be provided with information, advice and
guidance about the appropriate next steps for you. We have a dedicated Careers
and Employability Coordinator who can support you to plan for these, as well as
discussions with your tutor.
