Personal and Socials Skills – Entry Level
Awards
Content & Overview: This
flexible, practical course builds everyday personal and social skills to help
you to live more independently, connect with others, and take an active role in
your community.
These qualifications develop essential skills to help
adults to grow personally and to build positive relationships. It is designed
for adults with a range of abilities, offering flexible, person-centred learning
to prepare for employment, further education, or independent living.
Depending on the learners within each class, we can choose
from a variety of practical units, including: • Personal safety, healthy
eating, and looking after mental wellbeing • Independent travel and
keeping safe online • Using money, managing finances, and handling
everyday tasks • Building relationships, self-awareness, and
communication skills • Digital skills for everyday life and contributing
to the community
Adults who would like to be able to live more
independently and to develop their social skills.
Entry requirements: There are no entry
requirements with regards to prior qualifications or experience.
Delivery Method: Face to face teaching
sessions. You need to come to class every week. You must be on time and stay
for the full lesson. You must try your best each lesson. There will be no
formal examination.
Progression route: Progression routes from the
Entry Level Award in Personal and Social Skills could include: • Moving
to the next Entry Level within Personal and Social Skills (e.g. Entry 1 on to
Entry 2, or Entry 2 on to Entry 3) • Other qualifications such as; Level
1 Award in Volunteering, Functional Skills English, Maths or Essential Digital
Skills. • Volunteering opportunities
Additional information You will need to bring
paper and a pen with you. You may also find it useful to have a folder to keep
your work in.
