Content &
Overview: Ready to step into a
leadership role or manage a team? This
nationally recognised qualification is perfect if you’re looking to take on more
responsibility at work or want to build confidence as a new or aspiring team
leader. You’ll gain a strong understanding of team leading principles,
communication, motivation, and managing performance in the
workplace.
What you'll learn:

roles, responsibilities, and qualities of an effective team
leader • How to manage
performance and develop your team • How to handle conflict and build positive working
relationships • Key
principles of communication, motivation, and problem-solving • Understanding business structures,
policies, and leadership styles

move into a supervisory or team leader role • Are already in a leadership
role but want a recognised qualification • Want to improve your confidence
and skills before applying for promotion • Are returning to work or looking

Entry Requirements & Important
Eligibility Information: English:
You’ll need to complete all assignments and assessments in written English, so
being comfortable with reading and writing clearly is important. Literacy/IT Skills Recommended: Especially relevant for
distance/online delivery, you’ll need good written English and basic digital
skills — such as access to a device and internet — to engage with course
materials and complete assignments.
Delivery
method: Independent study using Google
Classroom resources. Online support from your tutor.
DISCLAIMER: You must be 19+ on 31 August 2026. You must also be resident in
the Greater Lincolnshire County Council Area (GLCCA) on the first day of
learning.
When applying for this course,
you must provide evidence to confirm eligibility for funding, this includes
proof of ID and proof of address. In addition, we will also require evidence if
your income and or benefits, is £26,800 gross or below.
If you have not attached the evidence
to your application, please provide using one of the following
methods:
- In person - please bring to the Business Admin office
(F09) at Ashby Community Hub
- Email - the evidence to
nlacl.enquiries@northlincs.gov.uk
The business admin team will contact
you if any other eligibility requirements are required, based on your individual
application. Please note applying for a course does not mean you are
